Kryptonite's Kryptolok has been the standard for U-Locks for two decades, this is the third generation of the lock.
Constructed with the same 13mm hardened steel shackle coated in vinyl for frame protection, but now with a double deadbolt locking mechanism. The series 2 had a single sided deadbolt and bent foot shackle design.
Although Kryptonite makes two U-Locks models above this, the Evolution and the New York, in our experience they are unnecessary in Pittsburgh.
We have never heard of a Kryptolok being defeated here by a thief.
