The all new Aventon Current is a full suspension eMTB platform built to deliver serious trail performance at a price that is untouchable by the traditional bike companies.
Because they do not outsource the electronics to other companies like Bosch, Shimano or Yamaha, Aventon is able to offer the very best value on the market.
Designed in partnership with the Kairn Bike Design Lab, the Current combines dialed in frame geometry, quality suspension, integrated smart tech and ride features with Aventon's Ultro X mid drive motor for assisted climbing on every trail adventure.
Battery range has also been maximized, enabling you to ride over 100 miles per charge on easier terrain. On western PA's constant hills it is more like 60 miles, but that is still better than Bosch, Shimano and Yamaha mid-motor designs.
Aventon’s proprietary mid-motor is capable of generating an amazing 120 NM of torque for maximum hill climbing assistance when you need it most. Bosch and Shimano systems max out at 100 NM.
Components on the aluminum frame ADV are Sram Eagle 70 with DB8 hydraulic disc brakes, a RockShox Psylo Gold suspension fork and a Rock Shox Deluxe Select air shock in rear.
The Current is also available with an upgraded carbon fiber frame and Sram AXS wireless shifting that is the same price as the aluminum models from the other bike companies, and about $2,000 less than their carbon bikes.
The upgraded model is $5,999 and is called the Current EXP. Same geometry and fit and is available to order, with delivery in 7 to 10 days.
