Aventon's most popular model, the Pace has been chosen by Bicycling Magazine as an Editor's Choice every year since its introduction in 2019.
This 500 watt bike has proven to be well built and reliable, with performance exceeding the 250 watt systems from Bosch and Yamaha used on the majority of mid-motor e-bikes at the $2,500 price point.
The Pace is a Class 3 E-bike, which means it includes both a throttle option up to 20 mph and a Pedal Assist System which can reach a maximum speed of 28 mph.
This 4th edition of the Pace updates the electronics with their new Aventon Control Unit (ACU).
The ACU includes electronic security features like a movement detection alarm as well as automatic rear wheel lock, so that when the bike is turned off, the bike cannot be rolled away, it must be carried.
The ACU also mates to Aventon's iPhone and Android based Ride Tune APP which can adjust the efficiency of the motor and add up to an additional 10 miles of range compared to prior Pace models.
