Jamis Durango A1 (2025)
Couldn't load pickup availability
In our experience this is the least expensive bike that you should buy to ride on true mountain biking trails, as oppressed to bike rail to trails.
The Jamis Durango A1 mountain bike features Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and has 4 inches of suspension travel up front, but we really like the drivetrain.
Which is the Microshift Advent 1x single chainring drivetrain. Every good mountain bike today has a 1x drivetrain.
Some bikes at this price point still have Double (2 chainring) cranksets and front derailleurs. These are improvement over triples, which have always worked poorly, but really why have them?
Moving up from 2 or 3 chainring models eliminates the single worst working part on any mountain bike, the front derailleur.
The wheel size is 29 and the bike uses the same proven XC frame geometry as Jamis' highest end hardtails. This is a solid, reliable and affordable mountain bike.
Gloss Black color available in store, Garnet Red is available to order.
