Review: www.roadbikeaction.com/renegade-s3-review

The steel models of Jamis' Renegade series are widely reviewed as some of the best sub $3,000 gravel bikes made and the S3 is the best selling of the three.

Probably because the S3 is the least expensive that is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, which are a huge performance upgrade over mechanic disc brakes.

The S3's Reynolds 520 chromoly frame with a full carbon fiber fork offers a noticeably smoother and more shock absorbing ride - both on road and off - than similarly priced aluminum frame gravel bikes.

Equipped with Shimano GRX gravel bike specific components, which are more durable and capable off-road than their road equivalents are.

The biggest problem with the Renegade is trying to find one, they sell out almost immediately year after year.
