With trail geometry and longer travel suspension the Highpoint is a better choice and a more capable bike off-road than XC bikes usually found at this price point.
The Suntour XCM fork is a simple and reliable coil spring design but it still has 120mm (5 inches) of suspension fork travel, 25% more than comparable bikes.
And the drivetrain components are Shimano Deore 1x10 including the crankset and bottom bracket.
The wheelset is outfitted with Wilderness Trail Bikes Tubeless Ready rims matched with WTB Trail Boss 29 x 2.25 tires.
