Jamis Renegade A1 LTD

The most affordable model of our gravel bikes, the Renegade A1 is constructed of 6061 aluminum tubing matched with an aluminum bladed fork.
If you are riding for recreation, fitness or touring and not interested in speed above all else, this bike really is a fine choice.
When outfitted with full coverage fenders and a rear carrier rack, the A1 makes for a great year around commuting bike.
Drivetrain and Brakes
For this LTD edition the shifter and derailleur have been upgraded to microshift Advent in a 1x 9 setup as Shimano has decided to discontinue the Claris component group. The gears are a hill friendly 40T chainring up front and 46T low gear in back.
The mechanical disc brake calipers are Tektro flat mount mechanical cable actuated with 160mm wavey rotors.
Braking on the A1 is better than standard rim brake calipers, particularly off-pavement, but not as powerful as full hydraulic discs.
Wheels and Contact Points
The remainder of the components are solid. The seatpost, stem and handlebars are all 6061 aluminum.
The wheels are built for durability first and should last the life of the bike. The tires are WTB Riddler Comp 700 x 37.
Depending on the size the A1 weighs 24 lbs. Like everything in cycling weight is inversely related to price.
That said, the A1 is lighter and faster than the equivalent hybrid and more durable and versatile than a comparable road bike.
