For kids that aren’t ready to pedal a bike, usually ages 2 and 3, balance bikes lets them power along just by walking and coasting. Learning to coast and balance on two wheels is part of the natural evolution to riding a bike.
Kazam has designed the best balance bike available. The patented center foot rest is the key.
Once kids can coast a bit on a balance bike their problem becomes keeping their feet off the ground for more than a few seconds at a time.
The center plate address this, and only Kazams offer this. A few brands now add foot plates to the rear which is better than nothing, but they have to be placed to avoid infringing on Kazam’s patent.
Quality-wise, this v2s model has metal wheels with rubber tires unlike the cheap, hard, rough riding, molded plastic wheels of some models.
The better wheels are smoother, stronger, quieter, easier to push and much grippier.
Kazam makes a slightly lighter aluminum frame Pro model for $30 more. After stocking them for a year we stopped. Kids couldn't tell the difference. They are available to order.
